OSE students spent the day walking to support St. Jude research in honor of one of our kindergarten students, Alexa.
It was a beautiful day and students set goals and pushed themselves to walk/run as many laps as they could in their time over at the baseball fields.
Our Girls on the Run Club supported this event by cleaning up the baseball fields and making signs to encourage our walkers/runners prior to the event. They also sponsored a “Change Wars” where all money collected went to St. Jude’s. Our student council supported the event by providing water bottles to all students and student council members went over and counted laps for each grade level as they walked.
We will share how much we raised for this wonderful cause after all of our totals come in!
