Olympia MS Volleyball kicked off the season tonight on the road at Williamsville. Both our 7th and 8th grade teams came up short, but played hard and competed well against a tough Williamsville volleyball program. Proud of the effort and excited to keep building this season!

The OMS Boys Basketball Team traveled to Mackinaw tonight to take on DeeMack.
The 7th grade team won a thrilling game on a last second shot from Kyler Lessen to win 35-32. Isaiah Gaither (12 points) and Luke Milligan (8 points) led the team in scoring.
The 8th grade team cruised to victory 53-17 with Cade Yoder (19 points) and Easton Boudeman (14 points) leading their team in scoring.
The Spartans are back in action Thursday at home in the OHS gym against Tremont. Go Spartans!

Attention all girls interested in playing soccer this spring! There will be a short informational meeting this coming Friday January 9th at 3:30 pm in Coach Brents room. This will just be touching base on Pre Season open gyms coming up to prepare for the season. The OMS wrestling team placed 7th out of 27 teams at the Tyler Johnson Memorial Tournament in Bloomington. A lot of tough competition comes to this tournament and we were proud to have four champs and a couple of placers.

Boys basketball starts the new year the right way with a 63-56 win over Gibson City. Leading scorers were Luke Prestegaard with 22 points, Dylan Nowaskie with 17 points, and Brendon Hardimon with 10 points. We are back in action Tuesday night at home against Midwest Central.

The high school basketball team had a successful secret Santa practice! Merry Christmas!

The OMS Volleyball team had a great time celebrating Christmas together with Secret Santa, cookie decorating, and fun volleyball games. It was a fun day bonding as a team!

The OMS wrestling team travelled to Prairie Central today and wrestled three duals. We beat Ridgeview 62-18 and Prairie Central 56-43. We lost to Monticello 41-60. We got a lot of good matches in today, and have two weeks of Christmas break to keep working before our first tournament. Great work kids!

The 7th Grade team lost 22-30 with Isaiah Gaither (9 points) and Luke Milligan (5 points) leading the team in scoring.
The 8th grade team won 51-20 with Cade Yoder and Will Langley both dropping 12 points followed by Tate Lindsey with 11 points.
The boys will be back in action in 2026 against Dee-Mack on January 5th at Dee Mack Junior High.

Yesterday, the OMS wrestling team travelled to Eureka and wrestled two duals against Eureka and Williamsville. We won the first one against Eureka 74-18 with a lot of good individual wins. We lost the dual against Williamsville 46-51. It was a close one that showed us where we need to work. That puts our dual record at 4-1 for the season. Next up we will be at Prairie Central on Saturday.

Tech Crew is responsible for building the set for the middle school play. During the performances, Tech Crew members run the lights and sound equipment and move set pieces on and off the stage.
Tech Crew begins Monday, January 5th, right after school and runs until 5:30 PM.
