It was a red carpet day at Olympia South Elementary! 🎬✨
Today we surprised our students with a movie-themed celebration to honor the incredible growth each class demonstrated on their recent assessment tests. From the moment they walked in and saw the decorations — and especially the red carpet runway — the excitement was priceless!
Students were genuinely shocked when they saw just how much growth they had achieved — not only as individuals, but together as a class community. The smiles, cheers, and confidence on display reminded us that growth deserves to be recognized in big ways.
We are so proud of our Olympia South students and the dedicated staff who support them every step of the way. 🌟
Here’s to continued growth, learning, and shining bright! #OlympiaSouth #SpartanPride

At Olympia South Elementary, we believe that being a Spartan means more than just doing well in class—it means being a great neighbor and a supportive friend. The month of January, our focus was on Community Building and Caring for Others.
These selected students have gone above and beyond to make our school a kinder, more inclusive place. Whether it was helping a classmate in need, including someone new at recess, or simply spreading positivity, these Super Spartans are leading by example!

First graders at South are busy learning about our communities and what makes them special! Today, we learned about maps and all of their features. Students then worked in groups to create maps of our classrooms.
We worked on listening and communication to be good teammates!
