The OHS Boys Track & Field team competed yesterday at the Pontiac Invitational at the Illinois Wesleyan University Shirk Center in Bloomington against some of the top teams in the state.

Top 20 finishes included:
20th place in the 600m from Austin Rebbe (SR) with a time of 1:39.04
20th place in Long Jump from Kaden Collins (SO) with a jump of 5.73m
18th place finish in the 60m from Kaden Collins (SO) with a time of 7.56
15th place finish in High Jump from CJ Moore (SR) with a Jump of 1.68m
13th place in the 600m from Paul Yeary (SR) with a time of 1:36.15

Top 5 finishes include:
5th place in the 4x200m from Kaden Collins(SO), CJ Moore (SR), Kaden Wilcox (JR), Kaleb Jacobs (JR) with a time of 1:38.93
3rd place in High Jump from Dylan Nowaskie (SR) with a jump of 1.88m
2nd place in Shot Put from Cohen Maness (SR) with a throw of 15.09m

Varsity softball with a 3-7 loss to a strong Brimfield team in the season opener at Olympia. The Lady Spartans (Varsity/JV) will travel to Mackinaw on Saturday to take on Dee-Mack.

Varsity baseball opened up the season with a 7-7 tie vs Canton. Walker (3H, RBI), Tackett and Pierce with 2 hits apiece. LaBelle (3IP, 1H, 6K), Sloan (3.1IP, 1H, 6K), Springer (0.2IP, K). Spartans are at Warrensburg tomorrow at 4:30.

Lady Spartans soccer win home opener against Cornerstone Christian 2-1. Goals coming off the foot of Junior Elyse Eimer and a standout performance from Senior Anna Johnson in goal. Girls start the season off 1-0. They will continue action back at the homestead as they welcome Urbana U-High for a 4:30 kick off.

Olympia will be using an e-Learning day today, Monday, March 16th due to very limited visibility throughout the district.   Elementary students should work on their packets and OHMS students should login to their classes.  Additional information will come from OHMS administrators and teachers.

The forecast shows snow and winds continuing through mid-morning.  We anticipate after school activities will go on as scheduled but any changes will be communicated by coaches and sponsors.

The OHS Boys Track & Field team competed yesterday at the U of I armory against 30 teams across the area.
The boys finished with SEVEN personal bests and NINE early season bests. Including improvements in all three relays.

Top 20 finishes include:
18th place finish and season best 4x400m from Paul Yeary (SR), Austin Rebbe (SR), Ty Gale (FR), and Kaleb Jacobs (JR) with a time 3:55.23
17th place finish and season best 800m from Ty Gale (FR) with a time of 2:13.27

Today the Olympia Transition Program had the opportunity to attend the Bloomington Bison Education Day hockey game! 🏒 We had such a blast sitting right up against the glass, cheering on the Bison. The excitement got even better when Jayden took home the puck from the first Bison goal!

Olympia High School Boys Track and Field had a great opener at their first indoor meet of the year.
The boys competed last night in the Cogdal Invite at ISU's Horton Field House.

There were several top 20 finishes in a meet with 32 teams, including:
20th place finish in the 4x400m for Paul Yeary (SR), Norman Bone (SO), Chrystian Neal (SO), and Kaden Colins (SO) with a time of 4:20.26
16th place finish in the 800m for Ty Gale (FR) with a time of 2:14.43
13th place finish in the 4x800m for Ty Gale (FR), Austin Rebbe (SR), Graham Walters (SO), and Paul Yeary (SR) with a time of 9:41.24

Top 10 finishes included:
10th place finish in the 400m for Kaleb Jacobs (JR) with a time of 55.50
10th place finish in the 4x200m for Tyler Gellner (SR), Brody Hish (SO), Kaden Collins (SO), and Kadyn Wilcox (JR) with a time of 1:44.41
