Today in Unified Foods, students became kitchen safety detectives! 🔍🍳 They analyzed different “kitchen safety crime scenes” to identify hazards, make inferences about what may have happened, and determine which category of kitchen hazard was involved. This hands-on activity helped build critical thinking and safety awareness as we prepare for cooking. Later this week, students will begin their first lab!

Olympia MS Volleyball kicked off the season tonight on the road at Williamsville. Both our 7th and 8th grade teams came up short, but played hard and competed well against a tough Williamsville volleyball program. Proud of the effort and excited to keep building this season!

OHS is excited to offer a new class this year called Unified Foods, co-taught by Ms. Kirby and Ms. Pack! This class brings together Olympia Transition Program students and OHS peer buddies to gain hands-on experience in the kitchen while building skills through peer support and collaboration. Today, students had their first cooking experience, learning how to use a rolling pin and getting expert tips from the pro herself, Ms. Kirby, on how to roll out the perfect circle! 🥧 We are looking forward to a great semester filled with new learning experiences, skill-building, and meaningful connections with our amazing OHS buddies. 🧑‍🍳🍳🍪

OHS Families,
It's a tradition at Olympia High School to feature special student recognition spaces in the final pages of our yearbook. We call these Pride Ads, an opportunity for families and friends to recognize a graduating senior in their life with a photo and proud message.

Our size options range from 1/8th-page to full-page spaces. Some send in one or more favorite photos of their graduate growing up, and some choose to feature sports portraits and photoshoot pictures. All are accompanied by messages that range from a couple sentences to entire paragraphs, signed with the names of loved ones.

To set up a Pride Ad for your graduating senior, visit jostensadservice.com/student and click “Create A Student Ad.” If you haven’t already, you or your student can also order their yearbook at jostens.com/buyyearbk, or call 1-877-767-5217.
