🫀The Olympia Transition Program has been diving into a science unit all about basic body systems, and today we put our knowledge of the circulatory system to the test! Students learned how to take their heart rate and explored what causes it to change. They made predictions and then tested them through fun one-minute activities like jogging in place, jumping jacks, and even resting on the floor. After comparing our results, we discovered that moving your body through physical activity keeps your heart healthy and strong! ❤️💪

🥛🐄 The Olympia Transition Program is excited to participate in the Adopt a Cow program this year! We’ve “adopted” a sweet calf named Ivy, who lives on Burning Acres Dairy Farm in East Dubuque, Illinois. Each month, we’ll receive updates, photos, and videos about Ivy as she grows and learns life on the farm. Through this program, our students will explore how Ivy is cared for, how dairy farms operate, and how milk is produced, from the farm to our tables! We can’t wait to follow Ivy’s journey and learn more about the world of dairy farming! 🐮🤠
