Olympia Sophomore Wins Competition Congratulations to sophomore, Rylie Passmore. Last weekend she had her first high school match of the year in Nashville for Olympic Style Air Rifle, and she won! In December she will compete in a match to qualify for her 4th Jr Olympics.

Tonight is Senior Night. Senior Night recognition will start at 6:30pm.

Students in English 2 are looking at different songs across several decades to see how musicians have used writing to express their beliefs and influence society when they see a flaw (a trait that John Steinbeck acknowledged in his Nobel Prize for Literature acceptance speech). Students are practicing analysis of social and historical context as they prepare to read Of Mice and Men, one of Steinbeck's most famous novels.

Sept. 30th Activities

Congrats to both OHS XC teams for bringing home trophies from the El Paso-Gridley Invitational yesterday. The Lady Spartans placed 3rd out of 13 teams and were only 4 points behind the state-ranked Eureka Hornets. Junior Abby Litwiller was an individual award-winner, placing 4th overall out of 107 runners.
The guys were team champs out of 16 teams and had their top 5 runners earning individual awards! The top placer for the guys was senior Anthony Ragland (5th), followed by seniors Carter Phillips (6th) and Owen Dare(12th), and sophomores Logan Demling (13th) and Caden Clark(18th).
The coveted “Gourd Awards,” given for running an “out of your mind” type of race, were given to Cooper Phillips and Amelia Kistner. Awesome work ladies and gents!
