The Lady Spartans kick off the week at home tonight at 5:00 PM vs. Lincoln-Broadwell. We have a busy week ahead, and both teams are ready to keep competing, learning, and growing.
The 8th-grade team is off to a fantastic 6-1 start! They are playing well together, pushing the ball up the court, and bringing great defensive intensity. Their teamwork, effort, and ability to compete together have been fun to watch as they continue to build momentum throughout the season.
The 7th-grade team is embracing the process and getting better every day. While their 1-6 start isn't the record they hoped for, this group is gaining valuable experience, learning to navigate the game, and finding opportunities to grow with every practice and competition.

These students prepared and submitted auditions in September, showcasing their musical skills through prepared excerpts and technique assessments. Judges reviewed hundreds of submissions from students across our ILMEA district to select the musicians who will participate in this year's festivals.
We are incredibly proud of these students and the hard work, dedication, and preparation they put into their auditions. It is exciting to see so many Olympia musicians recognized for their talents, and we can't wait to see them represent Olympia at the festivals in November!
Congratulations again to our 2026 ILMEA District Musicians!

It’s time for another Spartan Ticket Tank Raffle! Out of hundreds of tickets from Spartan Cart purchases, this week’s winner is an amazing example of respect, kindness, and responsibility.
Congratulations to Haq Fikri! 🏆
A huge thank you to Mrs. Polley for catching Haq demonstrating great responsibility.
To all OMS Spartans: keep showing off those awesome behaviors! It pays to be respectful, responsible, and kind—you just might be our next Friday Raffle winner! 💙⚔️

These open gyms are NOT tryouts and attendance is not required. They are simply a chance to get in the gym, work on skills, get some reps, and have fun playing volleyball before the season begins.
Whether you’ve played before or are newer to the sport, we’d love to see you there!

7th Grade:
The 7th graders went 1-1 on the week, picking up a win over DeeMack and battling through a close loss to Corpus Christi.
8th Grade:
The 8th grade team went 2-0, earning wins over both DeeMack and Corpus Christi! This group is made up of just three 8th graders and three 7th graders pulling double duty.
Ella and Remi each dropped 10 points against Corpus Christi.
Baylee put up 10 points against DeeMack.
Both teams are back in action Tuesday at the Washington Central Tournament. We’re excited to keep building, competing, and growing together!

This year's theme is "Holidays" — with a different holiday spirit day each day! We hope a school-wide theme makes it easier for everyone to jump in and participate.
Spirit Days:
Tuesday, Sept 29 – Christmas/Holidays
Wednesday, Sept 30 – St. Patrick's Day
Thursday, Oct 1 – 4th of July
Friday, Oct 2 – Spartan Day
Let's see that Spartan spirit all week long!

There was a false fire alarm at OMHS today, Friday, September 25th . The students were evacuated while we waited for the fire department to clear the building. The students were amazing and quickly exited the facility. The students were out of the building for about 20 minutes. Please contact building Principals with any questions about the evacuation.
