Last night, we celebrated our three 8th graders from the OMS Dance Team, along with the cheerleading and basketball teams! We are incredibly proud of everything they achieved this season and can’t wait to see all they accomplish throughout the rest of the year and as they head into high school next year. Congratulations, Lauren, Stella, and Emma!💙🪩🩵

The OMS wrestling team travelled to Williamsville today to wrestle Bloomington and Williamsville. We lost to a strong Bloomington lineup, but had some good takeaways to learn from. Before we could wrestle Williamsville, a transformer blew and the power went out. We didn't get to wrestle them, but we'll see them this weekend. Looking forward to our big tournament this weekend!

The OMS wrestling team travelled to Prairie Central today and wrestled three duals. We beat Ridgeview 62-18 and Prairie Central 56-43. We lost to Monticello 41-60. We got a lot of good matches in today, and have two weeks of Christmas break to keep working before our first tournament. Great work kids!
Congratulations to the newest members of the OMS Sixth Grade Hall of Fame! These students exemplify the Sixth Grade Honor Code every single day. They are shown with the Honor Code banners created by our first Hall of Fame inductees (led by Mrs. Kielion) and hand shaped pledges made by all sixth graders. It's a great day to wear our pajamas and be a Spartan!

Yesterday, the OMS wrestling team travelled to Eureka and wrestled two duals against Eureka and Williamsville. We won the first one against Eureka 74-18 with a lot of good individual wins. We lost the dual against Williamsville 46-51. It was a close one that showed us where we need to work. That puts our dual record at 4-1 for the season. Next up we will be at Prairie Central on Saturday.
