Olympia High School presents The Addams Family Musical on May 8, 9 and 10, at 7:00 PM in the high school theater. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and will be available at the door.

The musical The Addams Family is a comedic Broadway production based on the famous Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams. The musical follows the Addams family as they navigate the challenges of their daughter Wednesday falling in love with a "normal" boy and his family. The show premiered on Broadway in 2010 and played for 772 performances.

The production includes many of the original characters, including Gomez (Leo Durheim) and Morticia (Alexis Durham), their eighteen-year-old daughter Wednesday (Bella Gallanos) and younger son Pugsley (Graham Durheim), Uncle Fester (Tristen Rotholz), Grandmama (Evelyn Emberton), and the butler Lurch (Ned Moore).  We are also introduced to Wednesday’s fiance Lucas Beineke (Grayson Rummel) and his parents (Gage Hunt-Schroers and Ainsley Mahoney).

Music and lyrics for The Addams Family is by Andrew Lippa with the book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.  This production is directed by Wendy Wade, with vocal direction by Aubrey Zega.  Tech direction is by Megan Whitecotton; costuming is by Heather Schwarting.  The pit orchestra is led by James Spencer.
