The OMS Boys Basketball team traveled to El Paso last night to take on the Titans. The 7th grade team won 35-20 with everyone on the team contributed to scoring! The 8th grade team won 34-31 with Ty Gale (21 points!), Coty Thompson, and Kam white leading the scoring. The Spartans are back in action Tuesday at Home against the Hornets at 5.

The MS Boys Basketball team defended home court tonight against Normal Chiddix. The 7th grade team won a hard fought battle 42-28 with Will Langley, Cade Yoder, and Easton Boudeman leading the way offensively.
The 8th grade team lost a battle in OT 42-36 with Ty Gale, Kam White, Mason Kruger, and Coty Thompson leading the offense tonight.
The Spartans are back in action Thursday at El Paso; tip off at 5:30. Go Spartans!

The OMS Boys Basketball team traveled down to Auburn today for a doubleheader against Auburn and North Mac.
The 7th grade started the day against Auburn winning a tight one 50-45 with Tate Lindsey, Easton Boudeman, and Hudson Steinkamp leading the way scoring wise. Their second game was against North Mac and they won 42-28 with Easton Boudeman, Hudson Steinkamp and Tate Lindsey leading the scoring effort.
The 8th grade started their day against Auburn winning 56-31 with Mason Kruger (7 3 pointers!), Ty Gale and Kam White as the leading scorers. Their next game against North Mac they won 35-22 with Coty Thompson, Kam White, and Ty Gale leading their team in scoring.

Olympia's EMPOWER Club encouraged civic action last week for Election Day. Students and staff were encouraged to take pictures as they engaged in the democratic process of voting. Those who participated had their names entered into a prize drawing. It was wonderful to see so many people at Olympia High School doing their civic duty.

Congratulations to the Girls Swim Team for placing 7th out of 16 teams at the Sectional Meet at Normal West on Saturday!
The meet started with an outstanding race in the 200 Medley Relay! The relay team made up of Sophia Thomas, Nora Collins, Lola Finfrock and Abbie Hoeft not only took 3rd place, but set a new SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 2:00.53!
The meet continued with fast swims and personal records throughout the day!

The Olympia Boys MS Basketball Team competed today in their final games of the Eureka MS Tip Off tournament against Eureka. The 7th grade team lost today 50-26 going 2-1 in the tournament. The 8th grade team pulled out a massive victory 49-17 winning the tournament going 3-0. Congratulations to both teams for hard fought games!
