
OMS Celebrated our PBIS success today with an assembly!



Holiday Hoopla December 20th. There has been some conflicting information in regards to the start times and location of the basketball games on Dec. 20th. The varsity girls will play at 5:30pm in the high school gym, followed by the varsity boys at 7:00pm in the high school gym. The JV boys will play at 5:30pm in the middle school gym followed by the JV girls at 7:00pm in the middle school gym. Come out and support our boys and girls basketball teams and St. Jude.

The PBIS team celebrates students’ positive behaviors through an end of semester raffle. Students walked away with prizes by entering their code card tickets into a drawing. Congrats to all students for their positive impact on our high school!



OHS welcomed Ella, a certified therapy dog, to visit with students and staff during the 2nd Annual Destress Fest.





To help elevate stress during finals week, OHS celebrated the 2nd Annual Destress Fest. Destress Fest is a new Olympia tradition filled with games, snow cones, hot cocoa, and the new addition of yoga!

The Olympia High School speech team competed at Normal Community this weekend and placed fifth as a team! Special congratulations to Varsity Tournament Champion in Oratorical Declamation - Grace Melick!

Spartans fall short in their home opener to Prairie Central in a tough non conference match up. 62 to 57.

This past weekend the OHS Speech Team competed at Bloomington High School They had Varsity finalists in 11 events and JV finalists in 4 events. Special congratulations to Grace Melick, Varsity Tournament Champion in Oratorical Declamation.


Lots of middle schoolers are exploring and developing their own identities, and they often do this online and on social media. Some kids use multiple accounts, each for a different audience, but with this what’s real and what’s unrealistic can often get blurred.
